Home Delivered Meals
Our Home Delivered Meal program provides a hot meal delivered to your door. Volunteers deliver the meals Monday through Friday between 11 AM and 1 PM. You will receive a hot meal and the cold pack that includes your bread, milk, and fruit for the day. Additional meals and or weekend meals may also be available.
If you live in Grundy County and are in need of meals please call us at 815-941-1590.
We travel to Coal City, Mazon, and Minooka, to provide a community café meal!
We also serve a congregate lunch at Saratoga Tower in Morris Monday through Friday at 11:30 AM. On Wednesday and Friday it is followed by Bingo (provided we have our minimum of 5 participants.) The cost of these meals depends on the day but is a suggested donation of $3.50 to $6 per person. We do ask that you RSVP to 815-941-1590 by 9 AM on Monday.
Our next Monthly party at Saratoga Towers is our Spring Fling for Easter. It will be held on Wednesday, April 17th. You don’t have to live at the Towers to participate, just let us know you are coming and we’ll make sure to keep the door open for ya! Hope to see you there!
Whistle Stop Café and R Place both provide a pre-determined senior meal twice a month at their respective locations for $6.
In addition, we also offer Great Plates meal coupons that are good for either R Place or Whistle Stop, and those are $6 each. They are usable at any time when you make your meal selection from their “Great Plates” menu and you use that coupon to pay for your meal.
Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity? Being a driver for our program could be the perfect fit! It could be one day a week, one day a month, or even one day a year whatever works for you. We could really use your help!
We also have volunteer opportunities with our community café program. If you are interested please give us a call at 815-941-1590.
Please come out and join us at one or all of our café opportunities and remember if you are looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity, we just may have what you are looking for!
